I am Anja. I am a surface pattern and graphic designer based in Greater Boston.

I am passionate about creating patterns that are vibrant and cheerful. My work is graphical and stylized and often has a whimsical feel. I love Scandinavian designs, retro influences, minimalism, folk art, abstracts and geometrics, and my designs reflect these preferences.

I am a surface pattern and graphic designer based in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. 

I am passionate about creating patterns that are vibrant and happy.
I love the flat look of vectors so most of my work is vector based. I also delight in using geometric shapes to create motives.

My work is graphical and stylized and often has a whimsical feel. I love Scandinavian designs, retro influences, minimalism, folk art, abstracts and geometrics, and my designs reflect these preferences.

Having grown up in former East Germany, I have been living in the US for more than 20 years.

I have a degree in Graphic Design and have been a freelance graphic designer for many years (creating websites, annual reports, brochures etc.).

Looking for an outlet for my creative visions, I came across surface pattern design a few years ago and fell in love with it. A fantastic world of design and illustration opened up for me.

My designs are available for licensing. Some of my designs are also currently available in my Spoonflower shop as fabric, wallpaper and homedecor items.
I am also happy to create custom designs based on client specifications.
